About Scrappy's Garage

At Scrappy's Garage, we believe everyone should be given the opportunity to learn life-long skills. As a nonprofit, our mission is to make education accessible, inclusive, and meaningful by offering opportunities to explore life skills, trade skills, and STEM.

Our maker space, within our learning pod, is designed to spark curiosity, build practical knowledge, and encourage creative thinking. Whether it’s learning how to fix something at home, developing career-ready trade skills, or experimenting with STEM concepts, we give people the chance to learn by doing in a supportive, hands-on environment. With over 3,000 square feet, Scrappy’s offers everything from hand tools to heavy machinery, providing resources to expand skills and gain confidence in building.

But our work doesn’t stop in the workshop. We believe that skills are most powerful when they’re used to give back to the community. We have used the skills gained in-house to build a stronger community through projects such as:

• Designing and building Little Free Libraries
• Crafting wall shelves for a cat rescue
• Constructing play props for a home school program
• Building garden planters for an assisted living community
